Minister Bayraktar Meets Citizens and Serves Iftar in Aydın
Minister Alparslan Bayraktar continued his itinerary in Aydın, joining residents at a communal iftar event organized by the Aydın Metropolitan Municipality in the city square. Taking an active role, he personally served food to attendees, emphasizing the importance of togetherness during Ramadan.
Emphasis on National Unity and Energy Independence
Later in the evening, Minister Bayraktar attended an iftar program hosted by the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Provincial Directorate. In his speech, he noted that the world is at a significant turning point, stating, “This is a period reminding us how much we need unity, solidarity, and brotherhood as a nation. Under the leadership of our President and the robust partnership of the People’s Alliance (Cumhur İttifakı), we will overcome these challenges together as a country and as a people.”
Gabar Oil: A Symbol of a Terror-Free Turkey
Highlighting the importance of energy independence, Bayraktar explained ongoing efforts in Gabar to extract oil and in the Black Sea to produce natural gas. He remarked, “The oil discovered in Gabar is particularly crucial for the ‘Terror-Free Turkey’ initiative led by the People’s Alliance. For years, underground resources could not be accessed due to regional instability. Now, with increased security, we have achieved a daily production of 80,000 barrels—the largest oil discovery in our republic’s history. Local youth are now employed in these fields, giving them hope and plans for the future.”
Minister Bayraktar concluded by affirming his belief that Turkey can overcome any challenge through continued unity and collective effort.
