Minister Bayraktar Meets with Young People in Aydın
Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar visited Aydın, where he participated in the ‘Söz Gençlikte’ program organized by the AK Party Aydın Youth Branch. During the event, he discussed the country’s evolving energy needs and the importance of preparing for the future.
Preparing for a New Era of Electrification
Adapting to a Digital and AI-Driven World
Minister Bayraktar highlighted that the world is entering an era dominated by artificial intelligence and electrification. He stressed, “This new era demands significant energy resources. It is essential to be prepared for the changes it brings. To succeed, young people must develop new skills and abilities, as many professions will transform or even disappear, while others may rise in importance.”
Electricity at the Heart of Turkey’s Energy Strategy
Bayraktar explained, “In the Century of Turkey, our entire energy vision is centered around electrification. The demand for energy is high in every sector, and meeting this demand with our own resources is crucial. A truly independent Turkey is one that can supply its own energy. Therefore, we will continue exploring and discovering domestic energy sources tirelessly.”
International Exploration Efforts
The Minister noted that Turkey’s energy exploration is not limited to domestic territory. “We are extending our search abroad as well. Our vessel Çağrı Bey is on its way to Somalia, and soon, the Oruç Reis ship may head to Pakistan. By evaluating all alternatives and options, we aim to reduce our energy dependency,” he said.
Vision for an Independent and Stronger Turkey
Emphasizing the ultimate goal, Bayraktar stated, “We want our youth to live in a Turkey that has eliminated dependency in energy. Achieving this will make Turkey economically and politically stronger, keeping foreign currency within the country and boosting our national treasury. This is our ultimate objective—our Kızılelma.”
Youth at the Forefront of Change
Minister Bayraktar concluded by expressing his confidence in young people: “We trust our youth. I am convinced that you will make significant contributions and carry our flag even further.”
